Daniel Adamson open for Heritage Day, 11 September

Britain's last steam tug tender, being restored on Merseyside, will be the only ship taking part in the UK Heritage Open Days on 11 September. The 1903-built Daniel Adamson, which is being restored in Sandon Dock, Liverpool, will be at the heart of a mini-heritage extravaganza.

Having just received September's OG with the McLaren line-up, could I please make a plea of behalf of the photographers among your readership that, the use of 'Flags' adorning engines in the Static line-Up be 'banned'.
It is after all a one off display and it would be nice to get some pictures (weather permitting).
Perhaps we could exert just a little pressure on the few owners who perpetuate this habit.
